Seahawks put LS Schmitt on injured reserve (AP) |

The Seahawks placed long snapper Tyler Schmitt on the injured reserve list, ending his season. Seattle went through three snappers for kicks last season, then made Schmitt its first drafted long snapper in April. Schmitt, from San Diego State, missed most of training camp with what the team said was a sore back.
