Chargers get 24-hour extension to lift blackout (AP) |

Despite Super Bowl expectations for Southern California's only NFL team, San Diego hasn't exactly been overtaken by Chargers fever. The Chargers were granted a 24-hour extension by the NFL on Thursday in an attempt to sell 600 remaining tickets and lift the local television blackout of their season opener Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
