The Kansas City Chiefs signed unrestricted free agent Wade Smith to a two-year contract. Smith has been primarily a tackle in his six-year career, but is expected to compete for the center spot with Kansas City, the Chiefs said Monday. The 6-foot-4, 296-pound Smith played the last two seasons with the New York Jets, primarily as an offensive lineman and on special teams.
