The Kansas City Chiefs signed return specialist B.J. Sams to a one-year contract and fullback Chris Manderino to a two-year deal. Sams, who played his first three seasons with Baltimore, missed 15 games last season with torn knee ligaments. Sams has a career punt-return average of 10.9 yards and has returned two punts for touchdowns, both in 2004.
